Welcome to the website for Artista Andaluz, breeder of Caballos de Pura Raza Española, or Pure Spanish Horses.

In 1995 we discovered a relatively "new" breed of horse in the USA known here as the Andalusian. Little did we know then that these beautiful horses were one of the oldest breeds known to man.

After enjoying owning a variety of breeds of horses for 30 years, we found the one we wanted to commit our passion to.

We spent years researching pedigrees, conformation, breeders and which horses and breeders were achieving awards in Spain, before buying our first PRE.

In starting our herd, we chose to build upon proven breeding programs from some of the best bloodlines in Spain such as Cardenas, Terry, Lovera, Escalera, Benitez, and Yeguada Militar. The pedigrees of all of our horses include many champions and horses of merit from both Spain and the U.S.

We are committed to breeding horses that adhere to conformational standards held for generations and not what may be trendy for the moment. Horses that are athletic, versatile, of sound mind, exhilarating movement and wonderful temperament all wrapped in the beauty that is the Spanish Horse.

We are a small farm producing a few select foals a year. If you are looking for your own spanish treasure for breeding, sport, showing or soulmate, we invite you to visit our farm and meet our horses!
